Bus Information ATAF

  • Ticket valid for 60 minutes. Price: € 1,00
  • Ticket valid for 24 hours Price: € 4,00
  • Ticket valid for 3 days Price: € 7,20

  • Ordinary monthly pass Valid for the month written on the pass for all the lines: Price 31,00 €
  • Student monthly pass Valid for the month written on the pass for all the lines Price € 20,70. These may be purchased from the ATAF sales network. Reserved for students.

The ticket must be stamped in the special stamping machines as soon as the passenger gets on board the bus. Bus tickets and passes can be bought at the sales points (bars, tobacconists, newspaper stands) where you see the sign indicated below, as well as from all the ATAF sales points in Piazza Stazione. Tickets can also be purchased from the automatic vending machines.

How to obtain your visa when in Florence


If your country is not a member or a partner of the European Union and if you are going to study over 3 months in Italy, within 7 days after your arrival date you are requested to go to the Questura (Police office, via Zara 2 - tel. 055 49771) and bring with you:

  • 3 passport size photos;
  • photocopy of your passport;
  • letter of acceptance issued by all'Accademia del Giglio;
  • health insurance;
  • one 10,33 € revenue stamp (marca da bollo);
  • your visa issued by the Italian embassy in your country;
  • photocopy of your credit card or of your traveller's cheques.

WHAT TO DO BEFORE
LEAVING YOUR COUNTRY
1. Advise us about the time of your arrival in Florence.
2. Make sure your flight or train reservation has been confirmed for the dates you agreed on with us.

3. If you are not a student carrying a European Union passport and if you are going to stay over in Italy over 90 days make sure your student visa will be delivered to you before your departing.

4. If you have applied for our pick-up service please do not forget to keep with you the emergency phone numbers we will provide you with.

5. Please do plan your arrival at your home residence in Florence between 8.00 am and 10 pm.

6. Make sure your health insurance is liable to cover medical treatments abroad. Please note, if you are a student from a European Union country you do not need a health insurance. They only have to apply for the E111 document at the national health service in their countries
